CODES OF GENDER
Recognizing someone, as male or female, is fundamental to our ability to interact with them. The difference between sex and gender has already been tackled in this blog, as well as the third-world genders. A problem to these genders is that becoming an androgyny is hard, it is hard to socialize with others without them judging you first. We must have in our knowledge that distinction of two sex and two gender is a socially created only, not a natural. Gender codes become the medium on communicating and on distinguishing genders. Today, advertisements and media have impacts on gender, as it becomes the way of communication to everyone. It shows how a woman portray softness and delicateness, and on how men portray power and control all through advertisements on magazines and etc, it also shows how men and women in there seem 'normal'.
