   Depression ( major depressive disorder) is a common and serious medical illness that negatively affects how you feel, the way you think and how you act. - American Psychiatric Association Depression is not a joke . This is a problem that should be treated seriously and carefully. Feeling depressed is not new to everybody, many people have depression and this disorder makes everyday living very difficult. There are different types of depression that have different types of outcomes, the worst with this is suicide . Depression can lead to suicide if nobody cared enough for that certain person.  Many people today suffer from depression and fortunately, it can be treated. I would like to tell everyone to at least listen or reach out to them - they maybe your friend, family member, or a stranger - because people who suffer from depression need somebody to listen to them and help them. HEGEMONIC MASCULINITY - A Critique

By: R. W. Connell  Hegemonic masculinity was understood by Connell as external hegemony  that is connected to the institutionalization of men's dominance over women. Connell derives that understanding from the essential feminist insight that the relations between genders involve oppression and domination. However, Connell also generated hegemonic masculinity an internal hegemony  that refers to hegemony over other masculines.  It can be analyzed from the critique paper that hegemonic masculinity is rather a cultural idea  that is constantly promoted by the society through its production of masculinity practices, especially today with the use of media. HEGEMONIC MASCULINITY

By: R. W. Connell  Hegemonic masculinity has obviously influenced the way people and the society think of men, gender, and the social hierarchy. The hegemonic masculinity was first used as a framework to understand and study men and masculinity, until it became a subject on debates and applied to anti-violence works and revolts. Hegemonic masculinity also attracted serious criticism from sociology, psychology, etc. Even now with the use of internet, there has already been a public postings and discussions on masculinity.  From Connell's perspective, the concept of masculinity is said to rest logically on a dichotomization of sex vs gender.
