"Society still bars women from becoming successful leaders"

Through ages, this has been a popular discussion for many debates especially when feminism is the main topic. Now the question is, does the society still bars women from becoming successful leaders?

Now that we are in the 21st century, much have changed. 20 years ago is different from this year, all the beliefs, traditions, and the norms have changed as well. If women aren't recognized before, which includes their rights and roles, today there exists female leaders that are truly successful. Today women now have their complete rights. Today women are able to fight back to those that makes them weak, today women are able to stand up independently. With all these, women of today are able to rise up and lead. Lead her own family, lead her own town, lead her own organization, or even her own country, because women today simply can. 

There are countries today that are led by women, successfully like how men leads. It is a fact that men are stronger than women when it comes to physical strengths, but emotionally, mentally, spiritually, and socially, women are strong as well. Others may think that just because she is a woman it means that she is soft, too caring, are emotionally unstable, and are indecisive, all of these may be true to some women but those characteristics doesn't make any women weak and aren't able to lead. 

All those comments and opinions saying that women can't lead because they are weak, is what makes a woman successful. They'd get inspiration from all those opinions, and would only help them to be at their best. You may never know, a woman could be thanking you right now because you once stepped on her and made her look weak when now she is more successful than you do. We must always remember that is a man can, then a woman can as well. But at the end of the day the question still remains, does the society still bars women from becoming successful leaders?

FEMINIST MOVEMENT

Women suffrage were well known in the early 19th century and it is defined as women's right to vote, it is one way for women to gain a voice in that time where they were still being considered as child-bearers and homemakers only. In 1903, with the Association of Ilonga Feminists by Pura Villanueva Kalaw raised the call for women's suffrage until 1928, where American suffragettes Mrs. Carie Chapman Catt and Aleta Jacobs organized an association focused on civic works, the campaign between two American suffragettes together with local women was regularized by the National League of Filipino Women and the Women’s Citizen’s League.
